Site photographs assigned to the correct project

A photograph is not a stand-alone file — it forms part of a record with a description, location and project stage. It can later be found without browsing through hundreds of images.

Problem

A photograph saved in a messaging app quickly loses its context. After a few weeks, similar images may be difficult to tell apart even for the person who took them.

What the prototype demonstrates

  • The photograph forms part of a record rather than existing as a stand-alone file. It is labelled as completed work, a defect, a change or an acceptance inspection.
  • The image is assigned to the project, location and stage at the moment it is taken.
  • Photographs can be searched by date, location or event type without browsing through hundreds of images.

Outcomes for the client

  • Employees' phone galleries are replaced by an archive containing the documented history of each photograph.
  • The photographic documentation is ready for use in acceptance inspections, complaints and quality control.
  • A technician or manager can find every photograph from a given location without searching the entire gallery.
